  24. No, no.  Focal Distance and Focal Length do *not* refer to the same
  25. thing.  Focal Length is a term of art that everyone agrees on.  The
  26. "distance from the camera to the object that you would like to be in
  27. focus" is called a lot of things.  LW calls it the Focal Distance.

  33. Not me.  Precise use of technical language is important.  If somebody
  34. said "focal distance" to me, I'd ask what he meant.  If somebody says
  35. "focal length" to me, I know what he means already.
